Recently, the National Sci-Tech Conference, the National Science and Technology Award Conference, and the general assemblies of the members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering were grandly held in Beijing. The event honored recipients of the 2023 National Science and Technology Progress Award. JumpCan Pharmaceutical Group and Mr. Cao Longxiang, Chairman of JumpCan Holding and co-completer of the project, were respectively awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This marks the second time in nearly five years that the company and its controlling chairman have received this prestigious national award.

The award-winning project is titled "Research Model for Classical Prescription Categories and Key Technologies with Application in Regularity Discovery of Traditional Chinese Medicine Incompatibility" (hereinafter referred to as the Project). It is one of only five awarded projects in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and was jointly completed by seven institutions, including Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences of the PLA Academy of Military Science, and Jumpcan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. This honor follows the National Science and Technology Progress Award received in 2021 for the project "Innovative TCM R&D Theory and Key Technologies Based on 'Substance-Pharmacodynamics-Efficacy' and Their Applications."
The project established the first early-warning system platform for combined use of Chinese medicines both domestically and internationally, which has provided professional inquiry and safety warning services over ten thousand times for researchers, supporting safe and effective clinical medication. It is the first to systematically reveal the scientific essence of the "Eighteen Incompatibilities" in TCM, discovering several underlying regularities in traditional "opposite" compatibility, providing critical support for rational clinical compatibility and safe medication use.
JumpCan Pharmaceutical has always adhered to R&D innovation, boasting a nearly 700-people research team and housing a Postdoctoral Research Workstation, the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Pediatric Chinese Medicine and Specialized Formulations, and the Jiangsu (JumpCan) Pediatric Drug Engineering Technology Research Center. The company is committed to inheriting and developing TCM, actively deploying innovative drugs, and providing diverse innovative treatments guided by clinical medication needs. At the same time, JumpCan Pharmaceutical has established industry-university-research systems with renowned domestic universities and research institutes to achieve complementary advantages and resource sharing, jointly promoting scientific innovation and development. Collaborations with Peking University, the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, and the Jiangsu Province Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine involve national TCM standardization projects and key national R&D programs, collectively advancing the pharmaceutical industry.
The company is also actively promoting the scaling, modernization, and industrialization of TCM, comprehensively developing classical and proven prescriptions, and striving to transform classics into refined products and effective formulas into reliable medicines. In collaboration with the project team from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, JumpCan Pharmaceutical developed the nationally exclusive and nationally insured product—San'ao Tablets—based on the evolution of the millennium-old formula "San'ao Decoction". This product has been honored with the "First Prize of the Science and Technology Award from the China Association of Chinese Medicine" and the "Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award" from the Ministry of Education.
