JumpCan Pharmaceutical Group recently announced that it has entered into a collaboration agreement with PrimeGenX Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "PrimeGene") for the Class 1 innovative JAK1/2 inhibitor Pumecitinib (PG-011) Nasal Spray. Under the terms of the agreement, JumpCan Pharmaceutical will obtain exclusive commercialization rights for this product in the People's Republic of China (including mainland China, Hong Kong, China, Macao, China, and Taiwan, China).
This collaboration for the exclusive commercialization rights of Pumecitinib Nasal Spray marks another milestone in JumpCan Pharmaceutical's business expansion and a breakthrough extension into the healthcare sector. About Pumecitinib (PG-011) Nasal Spray:
Pumecitinib (PG-011) is a JAK1/2 inhibitor independently developed with full intellectual property rights, intended for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. It has entered Phase 3 clinical trials and is expected to become the world's first JAKi nasal spray, bringing a new, breakthrough treatment option for patients with allergic rhinitis.
Pumecitinib Nasal Spray received approval for a clinical trial application (IND) from the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA (CDE) on August 2, 2023, officially entering the clinical development stage. Phase I/II clinical studies have been completed, and the product is currently in Phase III. Phase 2 clinical results showed that the primary efficacy endpoint (mean change from baseline in reflective Total Nasal Symptom Score [rTNSS] over 14 days) was met. Both 1.2 mg (0.6%) and 2.0 mg (1.0%) Pumecitinib Nasal Spray significantly reduced seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms compared with placebo (p<0.05), in a dose-dependent manner.
